Announcement: 'The sale of food and beverages in Taipei City shall not provide disposable utensils for free in public and private places.The standards of the items and fee ,' effective from July 22, 2025 (ROC 114th year).

1. According to the Taipei City Zero Emissions Management Self-Government Ordinance, the announcement "The sale of food and beverages in Taipei City shall not provide disposable utensils for free in public and private places, the items and fee standards," aims for the public sector to take the lead in implementing the pricing of disposable utensils, using price control to reduce consumption. It also encourages the use of personal eco-friendly utensils, promoting waste reduction through daily life practices, and guiding citizens toward a zero-emission lifestyle.
2. Campus dining facilities at this school refer to welfare societies, cooperatives, restaurants, or other catering services operated by government agencies, public enterprises, administrative corporations, and public schools located in Taipei City, aimed at serving employees, teachers, and students, where food and beverages are sold and disposable utensils are not provided for free.
3. Disposable utensils refer to containers and tableware made from various materials designed for one-time use, to be discarded after use and not washed for reuse by the consumer. This does not include food containers that are displayed on shelves for purchase after being filled with food. The announcement specifies that disposable utensils, such as meal boxes, bowls, chopsticks, and spoons, cannot be provided for free. Each item must be priced at no less than NT$1 and should be priced separately from the food or beverage purchased by the consumer.
