Carbon-Neutral Healthy Diet Campus Program
This project is led by Assistant Professor Wen-Ling Chen from the College of Public Health, under the subproject "Carbon-Neutral Healthy Campus" – Subproject 1: Emission Reduction Benefits of Greenhouse Gas Disclosure in Diets."
Calculating the Carbon Emissions of Student Cafeteria Meals:
The carbon emissions of all meals (excluding beverages) will be calculated for the following locations: Cafeteria (Freshmen Women's Dorm), Cafeteria (1st Men's Dorm), Xiao Fu Building Food Court, Student First Activity Center Cafeteria, Lixian Hall Cafeteria.
Carbon Emission Grading Labels for Cafeteria Meals:
After calculating the carbon emissions of the meals, each meal will be categorized into low, medium, or high emission levels. The grading will then be clearly labeled in the cafeterias for consumers’ reference.
